Minutes of the meeting held on July 03, 2002
During ALEPH week
- Christophe presented the AlVisu software that is based on ALPHA++. It is a new simple 3D event display reporting point-like information about events.
ALPHA++ is used as back-end for accessing ALEPH DB. It can be extended to display any user object.
Another presented development is the TLimit class for ROOT. This class uses Tom Junk's algorithm to compute 95% C.L. from native ROOT histograms.
- Vincent finally discussed the status of the to-do list as well as the viewed possibilities to ensure ALEPH persistency. A solution could be to used ALPHA++ to produce/access ROOT files containing the standard banks. This solution seems easy to implement in the current framework, but manpower is needed.
- The manual will be released as an ALEPH note within a few days.
